Christoph Schäfers

Christoph Schäfers (born 1966) graduated from the University of Würzburg with a degree in business administration in 1995. His first professional position after graduating was as assistant to the board of CLF Hypothekenbank Berlin AG, followed by his work as an audit assistant in the banking division of the auditing firm KPMG in Berlin. In 2000, he founded Falkenstein Nebenwerte AG, which he took public in 2003 and where he was a member of the Management Board from its foundation until 2009. In 2009, he moved to the Executive Board of Falkenstein's majority shareholder, Sparta AG, which is also listed on the stock exchange. In 2019, Mr Schäfers acquired the majority of shares in Falkenstein Nebenwerte AG when he left the Sparta Executive Board and has been a member of the Executive Board ever since. At the same time, he is the founder and one of the managing partners of Falkenstein Management GmbH, which acts as a sub-advisor to an investment fund. He is also a member of the board of the non-profit Kreissl Foundation.
